Ken Maliga, Managing Director

Kenneth Maliga is a recognized industry expert in electronic payment systems. Over the past 30 years, Ken has worked as a consultant to the industry providing advanced technology and business solutions for card issuers, acquirers, electronic payment processors and retailers worldwide. Throughout his career, Ken has specialized in electronic payments, with significant emphasis on credit, debit and pre-paid card processing solutions. He has participated on a variety of complex and strategic initiatives related to card issuing, acquiring and processing in more than 60 countries around the world. He has consulted at the board, executive and managerial levels on a variety of international and strategic card processing initiatives. Ken, as an entrepreneur, has founded and led several consulting companies specializing in electronic payments. Ken is currently the managing partner of Keypoint, a management consultancy specializing in electronic and card based payments for a global client base of issuers, acquirers and processors. 

 

 

Deborah Baxley, Managing Principle

Deborah Baxley is an international retail payments consultant, recognized expert in the industry, creator of growth strategies for new and existing markets and 30-year IBM veteran with more than 15 years experience consulting to cards and payment companies. As former leader of IBM’s 400-person global credit card practice, she possesses in-depth experience in mobile payments, credit cards and retail financial services. She has advised top issuers, acquirers and payment brands in 14 countries, including MasterCard, Bank of America, Visa, and American Express. Her consulting centers on product direction, competitive positioning, business model development and technology strategy, delivering in up to $20M in new revenue or $50M in operating cost savings. Widely recognized for insights on the future of retail payments, Ms. Baxley chaired the Smart Card Alliance Contactless and Mobile Payments Council, and co-chaired the 2009 Alliance Payments Council Summit. She is a frequent keynote speaker and prolific author on topics of mobile and advanced payments innovation, author of 15 published articles and white papers, most recently “Proximity Mobile Payments Business Scenarios: Research Report on Stakeholder Perspectives,” Smart Card Alliance Contactless Payments Council white paper.
